Venmo is a mobile payment service that allows users to transfer funds to one another through a mobile app. It was founded in 2009 and was acquired by PayPal in 2013. Venmo has become popular among younger generations as a way to easily split expenses with friends and family members, such as for meals, rent, and other expenses. Venmo allows users to link their bank accounts or credit cards to their account and send or receive money with just a few taps on their mobile device. It has also added features like Venmo card, which allows users to spend their Venmo balance at merchants that accept Mastercard.
